Hi! My so black reissue is from the 17A collection and yes it's calfskin. I think there's a difference between the sheepskin and the calfskin. Sheepskin has that cool texture but it's quite flat what I have seen in pictures. This calfskin is very soft and it has a little bit of texture but the calfskin is very smooth and it's so puffy! It's a give and take, IMO. On days that I want a truly carefree bag, I'd pick my caviar, patent, or calfskin ones. Anyhow, I don't want you going in having super high expectations of the durability of Chanel lambskin (it's not the way it used to be), only to be disappointed (especially since this is your 1st Chanel).
